Frames

I had the honour of framing the OCADU graduate show series of both Isabella Ramirez and Cole Sandford.

Isa planned for two styles of frames: a traditional 1 1/2 inch band frame for her larger works, and a wide-wood frame for her 8, 10 and 12 inch canvases. We continued with these two formats for subsequent showings, exploring different wood species to complement Isa’s newer paintings.

For his thesis work, Cole opted for a thinner traditional frame profile – a consistent 3/4 inch all around.
